How much will I be charged
As one of our most commonly asked questions we have highlighted below exactly how you would be charged for using one of our access numbers on the main phone line providers.
When you search for a specific country on our website you will be given the access number and cost per minute to call either a landline or a mobile in that region. The indicated price per minute will be the cost to you including VAT that you will be charged by your line provider.
Calls are usually billed per second (Telewest, NTL, Tiscali and Virgin-media charge per second, for other providers please check with your service provider if they bill per second or per minute), which means a call to the USA for 20 minutes using our 2p/min access number will be a total cost of 20 minutes x 2p = 40pence.
Your service provider may also charge a minimum call connection fee for any number dialled from your phone, whether a standard UK number or an international access number like ours. These charges typically range from 3p to 10p for BT, NTL, Telewest, Virgin-media, TalkTalk and Tiscali. For other networks please contact your service provider for details of connection charges.
For example, on the above example of a 20 minute call to the USA from a BT phone line via our access number 0844 790 0202 which is charged at 2p/min; Next time you get your BT bill you will see this call itemized as:
Call duration of 20 minutes and a total charge of 20 min x 0.02 = 0.40p + 3p connection fee so a total call cost of 0.43p

Note Individual phone operator policies and tariff plans may vary. If you are unsure please contact your network operator to check their charging policy.
